So prepare for a long post. Let’s see, so my last post was Black Friday, which I needed a whole day to recover from shopping. For the rest of the weekend, we really took it easy, finished up Christmas decorating (even though we didn’t do much this year) and hung around the house. We did have one major disaster…we had to call a plumber. Our kitchen sink got clogged. Matt and I had attempted to get it unclogged on Thanksgiving and thought we had it. Guess what, we didn’t. It came back full force on Saturday. But the plumber came out, took care of it, and wasted my day. I did however get the house picked up. Monday night we took Mom out for dinner to Chili’s. It was so yummy and a perfect way to spend the last night. We did have a great time with Mom. It is always nice spending the holidays with family.
We did get our first snow fall for the week. I couldn’t believe it. It started snowing Monday morning and didn’t finish until Tuesday morning. I was told to leave work early and get home. By the time we took Mom to the airport, we had 4 inches of snow. Here are a few pictures of Gracie playing in the first snow fall.
She loved the snow until it got on her shoes…then she needed to wipe them off every time snow got on them. It was so cute!
I just loved her little snow outfit. This coat is a 12 month coat that was way to big for her last year but fits her this year.
We took Mom the airport at 6:30 AM and then turned around at 1 PM to get Matt’s mom and grandma. Grandma & Mom-o (Great Grandma Coonrod) were very excited to see Gracie. We were so thankful that everyone had an easy flight despite the snow. Mom and Grandma are here for a week to help us celebrate Gracie’s 2nd birthday. After we got back to the house Grandma & Mom-o got their special ornaments for all three of us. Gracie helped hand them on the tree. We haven’t really been doing much other then Matt and I getting a chance to go out on a date night with no babysitter time limits and getting ready for Gracie’s party. We were planning on doing a “Wiener Roast” idea but the thing is our second snowfall last night but that idea out the window. It is going to be to cold and wet to have anything outside. So we are improvising and having a hot dogs, chips, and movies! There actually isn’t going to be that many kids so they can just play and watch Santa Buddies. I will be sure to take a lot of pictures. I still can’t believe that our baby is going to be 2! These are just a few pictures from the last couple of days:
Gracie hanging up the ornaments from Grandma & Mom-o
Gracie & Grandma
Gracie & Mom-o sitting at the table after breakfast.
Mom-o & Gracie playing “uppity-up”
Yet another snowfall today!
Gracie realizing there is snow on her shoes.
Trying to figure out what to do next….
Wiping them off with her little gloves
This girl has a love for pringles….she ate almost this whole can throughout the course of the day. Gotta love the out of bed hair! She slept all night with Grandma & Mom-o since we were out on a date! :)
Matt’s new toy. We traded in his two bikes for one…now we only have one bike to maintain and it’s a nice one! We love it!
One of Gracie’s new play things playing in the tubberware cabinet. She likes playing peek-a-boo! She thought it was so funny!
