Shutterfly Website

So, I know when Gracie was younger I used to send out slide shows of Gracie's latest pictures for friends and family to share. Well, as soon as I started the blog, I stopped without realizing it. So I was actually going to mess around on the Shutterfly website and they have a share website. So I thought I would create one so that those of you that want to order pictures can...I think! ha ha! I am still new to it. Our website is: http://thecunninghamfamilyof3.shutterfly.com/ You will need the password which can get from me if you email me at pink_daizy01@yahoo.com. I just want to make sure those that order pictures are people I know...ok, this is the Mama Bear coming out! ha ha! Either way, enjoy the site and I will try to make sure that I load more pictures and let me know how it works! I promise to play with it! I will also be posting some bath time pictures of Gracie tomorrow...I have to get to bed now...but they are too cute! Look for them! Have a great Thursday everyone...

Ahhh...relaxation!

So Happy Monday to you! We had a very quiet and calm weekend. It was the last weekend at home before Gracie went back to school. We had dinner for Leda's birthday in Las Cruces and then headed over to their house for some Wii fun! Sunday Matt had some classes to take care of, so we just lounged around the house. I don't think any of us got out of lounge clothes all day. Even when we ran to Target, we went in lounge clothes! :) What a relaxing day!

Gracie is 100% better. She is back to herself...and then some. She is definitely on the road to becoming a toddler. My adorably sweet baby girl who used to very "go with the flow" is no longer that way. As soon as things don't go her way, she throws a mini-fit. The reason I call them a mini-fit is because I have seen children her age throw a bigger fit, I am still counting my blessing with Gracie. She is a very easy child, even when she is crabby! Although, I do have to say, even in the middle of a tantrum, I love that little girl with my heart and soul.

Well, it is going to be a typical week at work for both of us and a little boring. Gracie did have a tough time going to school this morning but I am hoping after a few days she will be back to being excited going back. Have a great week and enjoy some pictures from our weekend!

Taken a few minutes ago...look at how long her hair is getting!

She plays with her ear when she is tired.

Such a happy girl...I love this face!

So silly...she loves books...apparently on her head!

Gracie has the all clear!

So I took Gracie to the doctor for a follow-up from our hospital stay and she is doing well. The doctor said her lungs sound great and clear, no ear infection, and active! (She was all over the place at the clinic!) She was running a low grade fever for most of the day but I know she is having another tooth pop through so I am hoping it is that and not another infection coming. Time will tell. Gracie gets to go back to the doctor tomorrow for a school physical for the daycare. I wish we could have just done it today but military clinics are super picky over their appointments. Apparently I can't double appointments so not only do we get to take Gracie to the doctor two days in a row, but we get to waste two doctor's time!

Gracie and I had a good day today...a very Mommy and Me day. We just chilled around the house, napped, and finished decorating her room. I miss having paint but I am not going to paint since we are going to be moving in the next couple of years. Not to mention I don't think the landlord would let us. Either way it is cute. Matt did a great job hanging the stuff that has more then one nail. I don't do more then one nail because I get it crooked!

Well, I am back to work tomorrow. I am looking forward to it but I will miss my little girl. Matt is going to stay at home with her for the rest of the week. I know those two are going to love spending time together!

Well, have a good week. I will update you later on this week!!!!

Race Car Gracie!

So we had a very relaxing Monday. We grabbed donuts and coffee this morning and watched movies all day. Matt and I are still not feeling good. We are dealing with a cold we picked up in the hospital. I know, crazy, but true. Gracie is loving the fact that we haven't been busy. She has had the chance to really explore her toy room since we have the baby gate up at the bottom of the stairs. The way the house is set up she pretty much has free reign over the lower half. We can see her in most places. Last night we went out to dinner with our friends Jaime and Wes and had a really good time. After dinner we all congregated over at our house where Daddy and Gracie found a new game. We have this basket that is really shallow with a tall handle that Gracie has been playing in the last couple of days. It is actually for the dogs toys but Gracie thought it needed to be her toy! Either way, check out the video below of Gracie and Daddy playing race car. Gracie loves being pushed around! Hope you all had a good weekend!! I will post more later on!

Gracie being silly with her PJ's this AM

I FINALLY figured out how to put the video in the blog! Just hit the play button!

Baby Einstein & Breathing Treatments!

Gracie is beginning to hate her breathing treatments. Not to fun in my eyes...she started moving around a lot and it is very important that she gets all of the medicine into her. So I had the idea to put on Baby Einstein and it worked. She sits still and just watches them....actually it is more like a trance ha ha! She also likes to chew on the end of the hose that dispenses the medicine. The nurses thought it was funny and excited she did that. She gets more medicine that way. Anyway, I thought it was funny and I thought I would share. Gracie is still feeling really good. We have decided to keep her out of daycare for the week since 4 kids in her class came down with RSV. I just want to make sure all the germs are gone before she goes back. We don't want to end up in the hospital again. We are just hanging around today and having dinner with friends later on today. Hope your Sunday is going well too!!!!

See what I mean...it's a trance!

Getting ready for nap...just so sweet!

Being silly...you can see her new tooth on the bottom right!

So here is the story....

So here is the story...on Monday we took Gracie to the doctor and found out that she had an ear infection. She of course had congestion but the doctor didn't seem to concerned about it. So we kept her home on Tuesday. We tried to take her to the daycare on Wednesday but Matt had to go get her. Then when I got home I just didn't like the way she was sounding. She sounded raspy and her cough sounded so so much worse. So I called the tele-nurse (a lovely thing we have through the army hospital) because I was worried about taking her in for nothing. She told me that mothers intuition usually means something. So I decided to take her in. Since Matt had stayed home with her during the day and had to go to work the next day, I told him to stay home and I would take her. So we arrived at the hospital around 9:30 and was triaged shortly there after. Gracie was not running a fever, her temp was 98.9 and her oxygen stats was at 93%. Either way, they knew the doctor was going to want to see her lungs in an xray so we took ourselves down to Radiology. After her xray we went back to the waiting room. They called us back at 2:30 am to the exam room and we didn't see the doctor until 5 am. As time went by Gracie started running a fever. By the time they took her temperature she was up to 101.6 and her oxygen level was at 74%. They gave her about 3 breathing treatments which helped but not enough. They diagnosed her with acute pneumonia and decided to take us over to the local civilian hospital since they didn't have the staff at the army hospital. So we spent 2 days there. Gracie was only on oxygen for about 24 hours and then took her off of it and wanted to monitor her for another 24 hours. By the time last night came around we were all being claustrophobic. Gracie kept trying to jump around her crib and play. She is so funny. I am putting a video of her playing in her crib before she FINALLY fell asleep at 10 pm. Gracie actually did very well. She was cooperative most of the time and was a very happy baby for everyone! Either way we are home with instructions to give her breathing treatments every 6 hours for about a week. I want to thank all of you for all the thoughts and prayers. I can tell you that she was being prayed for and thought of from coast to coast. It really means a lot to Matt and I that you all took that time out of your day to pray for our little girl. We are so thankful she is feeling better. We are going to spend the weekend in and re-cooperating so you know I will be taking a lot of pictures! Well, it is so late and I need to get some sleep! Thanks again for the love...it meant a lot.

13 Months & A Day @ The Park

So in the hustle and bustle of everday life, I totally forgot to wish Gracie a Happy 13th Month Birthday! Gracie is almost 13 1/2 months at this point, but I wanted to make sure I recognized that she is getting bigger and bigger. She is learning so much more everyday. Lately she has been nodding yes when you ask her questions like "Do you want milk?" or "Do you want more?" She is even making a "m" sound for more. Not to mention that she is increasing her play with more animation and pretend play...now don't get me wrong, she can't pretend that she is playing house by any means, but her play is more organized and you can almost see her thinking her next move through. She is also trying to say more and more words. My girl is growing up!

Last Thursday I had a doctor's appt so I decided to take the whole day off. I took Gracie to school while I was at the clinic. After my appt. I met Matt for lunch just the two of us! That is a rare treat for us considering we just recently found a person we trusted enough to watch Gracie. It is hard being a military family that moves so often. It is hard to find people you trust to watch your child. Needless to say I am a Mama Bear that protects her cub just a bit too much but in my mind that is ok. Anyhoo, after we grabbed a quick lunch we picked up Gracie and I took her to the park. She had so much fun. She wasn't for sure about the swing at first, then she loved it, and then when I put her back to the swing, she was either done at the park or she decided she didn't like it. But the slide was definitely a HIT! I think she went down it at least 20 times. I told Matt the next time we take her to the park we are both going...I got exhausted trying to take pictures and put her back on the slide but it was way worth it. I got some really nice pictures and of course there is a few at the end of the blog.

So I had to work again this weekend....ugh. I swear I am done with Saturday's for at least a month. It was an ok day, but I would have rather been home with Matt and Gracie. We just chilled out Saturday night. On Sunday I got out of the house for a little bit and did some shoe shopping with my friend Jamie. I love shoes, it all started with Liz, she sparked my interest...then I taught preschool so I never invested in really cute shoes because, let's face it, my adorable shoes would have been covered in paint! Either way, Jamie, Gracie, and I had a fanstastic time and I got two pairs of shoes. (Liz you would love one pair of them!)

After we got back from shopping Gracie came down with a fever. She has never had a fever that was more then 100.5, yesterday it got up to 101.3. I was a little scared but I gave her some tylenol and it came down, but not all the way. I just keep some tylenol in her and decided to take her to the doctor today because she was WAY fussy and pulling on her ear. Sure enough, she has an ear infection. She hasn't had one in about 8 months, but this one is pretty bad. Since we had a really bad diaper rash last time she was on antibotics we decided to do an injection of antibotics instead of the liquid form. It works faster and there is only a need for the one shot. I hated to put her through the pain but trust me when I say that the 10 minutes of pain she was in was way better then her screaming in pain during diaper changes. She is already feeling better and hasn't been running a fever all day. She is going to go back to school tomorrow since it has been 24 hours since her fever was up but I am going to try to leave early. It might be too much for her.

Well, it is 11:30 and I am having a case of insomnia. I need to try to go to bed so I am not a zombie tomorrow. I will try hard not to go so long again before I type another blog! Have a good week!!!!

Just having too much fun!

She loved the slide!

See what I mean?

The swing too!

Teething....UGH

Ok, so the first time Gracie was teething, she was cranky, but she was only 8 months old and didn't know how to through tantrums (which I have to say really aren't that bad) but this time around, I am about ready to loose my mind. I don't know if it is because I am still utterly exhausted from moving, or the fact that these 2 teeth that are coming in are just rougher then the first 6! Not to mention we are really battling dry skin. Those of you that have lived in a dry climate know what I mean. Gracie has the rosiest cheeks right now because her little skin is so dry from all of the slobber that comes with teething. Poor baby, I have been giving her teething tablets which helps. I am hoping she goes down a lot better tonight...she had a rough one last night which is why she slept all the way into school (about a 20 minute drive) and then slept for another hour after she got there! She does seem to be feeling a little bit better but her rough night is taking a toll on her. I think we are going to call it an early night tonight!

So it is Wednesday and I am so glad. I am taking tomorrow off for a doctor's appt which I am not looking forward too but the idea of not having to get up at 4 in the morning is looking very nice. I was going to take the day for myself and leave Gracie at the daycare all day, but I think I am going to treat myself to a Gracie Afternoon since she is going to have a Daddy and Daughter day on Saturday since I have to work. Yep, you read that right, I am working AGAIN on Saturday. We are only open on Saturday's twice a month and only 2 of us work on Saturday's but since we are short 3 people right now in our office, we are pulling a lot of extra weight. At least I get paid overtime for it! :) So, since Gracie and Matt will probably do something special on Saturday, I just might have to make tomorrow a park day for us. It is supposed to be up in the 60's!

No new pictures, but if we go to the park, you know I will have a million and one! Have a great rest of the week!

Our weekend....and a new tooth!

So we had a very uneventful weekend. We pretty much spent the weekend unpacking. I would say that we got about 90% unpacked. Anything that is left is either in the room it belongs or still in boxes in garage because they are decorations and picture frames which I am not ready for. I want to really make sure when I put a picture there, it is where I want it.

Gracie kind of had a rough weekend. I can always tell when she is teething because she is Ms. Crabby Abby! She had really wanted to be right up on my hip all weekend which is why we are not a 100% unpacked. Although, things did get better as the weekend progressed because she had another tooth pop through on the bottom right side right next to her bottom 2 she already had! Now we just need the other to come through which if it is like the other 4, I expect to pop through in about a day or so. I will keep you posted. I also noticed that she is doing a lot of "nesting." She puts things inside of things or at least tries to. Gracie got a little frustrated when one of her toys wouldn't fit into a small compartment on her learning table.

We really had a good weekend. Both of us had a four day weekend which was really nice. Even though we unpacked, I feel like it was relaxing too. The only thing I wanted to do was take Gracie to the park, but it just didn't happen. Matt and I both wanted to get the house organized. It is going to be nice again next weekend so I am going to take her then.

Well, it is about that time for me to head to bed. Here is a mix of pictures from over the weekend. The puppies had a spa day at the groomer's and of course look beautiful. I posted a picture of them fighting....they are too cute. They like to chase each other around the "circle" we have downstairs. Basically the living room, entrance, kitchen, and sitting room are in a circle with the stairs in the middle. They have a blast. The other ones are of Gracie being Gracie. :) Finally at the bottom is a video of Gracie playing patty cake. She loves to play along while I sing. She has been doing this for about a month or two. Either way, I am sure you will enjoy it! Anyhoo, hope you all have a good start to your week!

The girls playing. Harley can hold her own!

What!?!

In the car lookin' cute!

Waiting for Elmo to finish the story! She loves her Elmo Live.

Ok, here is the video...don't mind the mess in the back...Gracie found it necessary to tear apart her diaper bag! Click on the picture and it will take you to the video!

Happy New Year!

Hello 2009!!! I can't believe another year has passed. It's true, the older you get, the faster time flies! We didn't do much for New Year's. We actually just ordered a pizza and caught up on some shows we recorded. Well, actually I should say that Matt caught up on them...Gracie and I were out by 8:00. It has been so crazy that I haven't been getting enough sleep and it caught up with me last night. Of course I am up now at 11:30 tonight because I got almost 12 hours of sleep. Not to mention I have to go to work tomorrow, even if it is only for an hour! I am so excited I get a 4 day weekend. It is so nice. Matt and I are going to spend it unpacking but it will be nice to have the time to do that. I still don't have any new pictures to post, but we are going to take Gracie to the park tomorrow considering it is going to near 70 degrees. So I will take some pictures and post them tomorrow! There are times where I love the south! :) Well, I just wanted to wish everyone a Happy New Year. The Cunningham's wish all of you joy and happiness this year!
