Hello all! It is hump day which means there is only 2 more days until the weekend. It has been a really long week. I am so looking forward to the weekend because we have nothing planned but staying at home. I know that is not exciting, but that is the point!
Gracie is doing great. As a matter of fact, she is doing just peachy. I already mentioned that she is getting a sense of humor so every time we laugh, she laughs. She also is learning the word "no" but she thinks it is a game. Grace turns everything into a game. For example, she is really testing her legs out. She is walking around everything, she is wanting to walk with us holding her hands, and she is trying to stand on her own. When she stands on her own, she makes sure she can fall into either me or Matt and then laughs like there is no tomorrow. We also have a "no kissing" game which she also loves. I know I promised a video and I will put it on here but I have to find the cord to my camera...yeah we will see how long that takes! :)
After almost 3 months of trying to convince Gracie that she really can say "da da" she did it again tonight in Walmart! Matt is so excited. Now we just have to make sure when she says it she really means Matt. It was too cute. I do have to say I am still excited that she said "ma ma" first because let's face it...she looks like her daddy. Either way it is exciting not only did she say "da da" but her vocabulary has now expanded to 2 words!
Well, it is later then I want it to be which means I need to go to bed! Have a great rest of the week and I will post pictures this weekend. I am back to picture taking mode now that I have my good camera back! Woot woot!

Our Day at the Zoo
We had a really fun weekend! Friday was a bit crazy. Half way through the morning the daycare called to tell us that Gracie was really pulling on her left ear. Of course since Gracie had that first ear infection at 7 months we have been really leery of ear infections. Also it was Friday and we were afraid to let it go until the weekend. So after jumping through hoops to get her an appointment, we found out that Gracie weighs 20 lbs and does not have an ear infection! YEAH! Now we just need to wait for her 1st Birthday then we are going to turn that car seat around! I know she is going to love it. She is going to be able to see Mommy and Daddy! Friday night we stayed home and watched scary movies...well, Matt watched scary movies while Gracie and I played! :) We also found out that Gracie is really doing well with standing. She is really working on her balance. I always say it is so fun to watch her discover things and it really is! She was playing with her activity center and found out how to play with a new part which totally stoked her out! She is just too funny.
Then Saturday the Zoo was having a Boo at the Zoo day where basically kids dressed up and did more like a Harvest Day rather then Halloween. What a good way to make use of Gracie's flower outfit then showing it off at the zoo. We had such a great time. Gracie loved riding along in the stroller looking at all the people and animals. We went to the gift shop to get her a toy to remind her of the day. We always let her pick out which toy she wants (we pick out 2 and she chooses between them) and she chose a penguin. Let me tell you what, that kid loves that penguin. She gets super excited when she finds it. Gracie and Daddy have a great time playing together with Pengy the Penguin. It was such a great day. The weather was perfect too. Actually the sun could have backed off a bit but it was still nice. We took plenty of pictures for you all to enjoy.
Today Matt had to go to work for most of the afternoon so Gracie and I took him to work and went shopping for a coat and hat for her. Since we leave at 5 AM, it is very chilly and Gracie needs to have a hat on before she gets an ear infection. Also, since we are going home over the Thanksgiving Holiday we needed to find her a coat that would be good for here and there. Let me tell you that it is not easy to find a coat that will be heavy enough for Illinois weather and light enough for El Paso weather. But we found one and it is adorable. Believe it or not it is a 18 month size coat too.
Well, I have talked your ear off enough for the evening. Not to mention I have to get to bed...4:15 always get here way too early. Hope you all had a good weekend!!!!
Enjoying her Cheerios! She loves Cheerios!

Half Way There
It is almost Friday and even though it has been a good week, I am looking forward to this weekend. I am needing some Gracie time. Sometimes you just need some major non interrupted baby time you know? Well, today was a good day. I had a conference with Gracie's room teachers and let me tell you she is doing GREAT! She is of course ahead in most areas. She is very socialable with the other children. The teacher said she is weary of new people but once she gets to know them she is ok. She is also doing well in her gross and fine motor skills. She is climbing and moving everywhere...in other words, she is a very busy 10 month old. Gracie is also really great at using her fingers to pick up small objects (which is why we vacuum at least once a day) and she uses her hands interchangeably (useds one hand to pick up the toy and uses the other to make it work). And she l-o-v-e loves books. She turns pages on her own and is interested in all the pictures. I am so proud of her. She is learning so much and interested in so many things. It is so much fun watching her discover things.
Other then that it has been our typical week. Matt is helping his boss to move this weekend and I am thinking I am going to have some good ole' stay at home time. Well, enjoy the rest of your week and here are a few pictures for you. Look for more pictures this weekend!

Our Saturday at Home
Well, we have spent most of the day at home in jammies and I have to say it was/is awesome. We are going to continue staying in our pj's unless we decide to go to a movie. Matt hasn't let me know the verdict on staying or going to the movies.
It was a very filled week this week. I don't know think Gracie and I got home before 4 pm at all this week. Although yesterday I didn't have to be at work until 8:3o and then I got off before my normal time so I guess I can't complain. We have been planning Gracie's birthday party or actually I should say parties. Considering she is having 4 although I think all I have to plan is 3 which I don't mind at all. I pretty much have 2 of them figured out, I am just stuck on the one we are having here. Our house is a little small to have 6 kids under the age of 4 over so we were thinking about going some where but we just know. I am up to any suggestions if anyone wants to share.
Other then that we got Gracie's costume for Halloween. We really don't celebrate Halloween but I couldn't resist the cute flower outfit. If anything I got some really cute pictures...which of course I will post at the end of the blog.
As for the rest of our weekend, we aren't doing much of anything. We just want to relax. We hope you all have a good weekend and start of you week. Here are some pictures for you all to enjoy!
She is such a daddy's girl.

I just love this face!

I am back in touch with the world!
Hello all....long time no hear! I have been out of touch with everyone for like 3 days (we had no internet) and I have been going nuts. Not only did we not have internet because we were switching providers but it was a busy week in every aspect. Since it is a four day weekend for those in the military, all of the services brought every applicant in El Paso it seemed into process so we were busy at work all week. Matt was also busy due to extra missions he has had to do at work. Although Gracie has been feeling better, she is still teething which makes her kind of fussy and wanting mommy every minute she is home...which I don't mind. I love spending time with her.
On Thursday Gracie had her 9 month Well Baby appointment (keep in mind she is 10 months). She is officially 19 lbs and 7 oz. By the time she turns 1 she will be ready to face forward in her car seat which I am looking forward to. She is also 27 inches long....right where she should be in both height and weight. As always, she is perfect. Dr. Hamilton is such a great doctor and tolerates all of my new mommy questions. She does a great job of making sure that I know that I am doing an awesome job at being a mommy and of course thinks Gracie is just adorable. But then again, most people think that and if they don't then they are just plain wrong! I am just happy that Gracie is doing so well. It is always a relief to know things are going great.
Gracie is still cruising around furniture like it is nobody's business. She will try to reach for me if I am sitting a little ways from the couch but it is still a little tricky for her. She also does a really good job walking with either mommy or daddy. Her personality is coming through like you wouldn't believe. Every day she pulls something new out of her hat. Today she started screeching a bit more...but in a really cute way. I took some video today along with some pictures which I will try to put up tomorrow.
Well, I think I have updated you completely but rest assured that if I think of something else I will post it! Have a great long weekend everyone and look for those pictures, they will be posted soon.

10 Things for 10 Months
Yes, yes, it is the 5th again which means that Gracie is another month older. Every month that goes by, it amazes me that my baby is getting bigger and bigger. She is just growing and growing. Gracie is also EVERYWHERE! She loves to pull up on everything...including things that won't hold her. So in celebration of her 10 month birthday, I thought I would tell you 10 things about Gracie that you may or may not know. So here we go:
1. Gracie loves books. She loves to look at them and she loves us to read to her.
2. When she is falling asleep she either has to have her snuggly or she has to be petting something.
3. Her best buddy is Daisy.
4. Every time she gets the chance to jump...she does.
5. She loves music and every time she hers certain songs she drops what she is doing and dances.
6. She has a Boo Boo bear that we have to have when we hurt our self.
7. She has no desire to eat people food, she is content with her baby food (her favorite is apples and rice cereal.)
8. She has cut 3 teeth since the 16 of September and 3 more are coming in. (Crazy I know)
9. She loves people and loves to entertain them.
10. She looks like her daddy but has her mommy's personality.
We have had a great weekend. A bit busy but good. Friday we met Brian and Leda and went to a Corn Maze which was fun. We wanted to get some pumpkins but apparently you could only purchase them on Saturday and Sunday. We are thinking about hitting another one up this coming weekend but we will see. I am going to post a couple of pictures from the Corn Maze.
Other then that we are having a Mommy and Gracie day because daddy is on CQ (24 hour duty). We are on our way to bed to watch TV and read books. I hope you all have a great weekend and look for more later in the week.
Sitting next to a pumpkin.....That is her nickname by the way!
In the corn maze! It was really bumpy!
The pumpkin was bigger then Gracie!

Midweek Update
Hello all...just a quick update before I turn out the light and go to sleep. We are doing better here in the Cunningham household. Gracie is feeling much better but still has a bit of a runny nose. I have my voice back but the allergies are still kicking me down. Matt has come through all of this unscathed which I think is unfair. Although he did a great job taking care of his girls the last couple of days. It has been an uneventful week so far. Nothing really to report other then Gracie finally got the idea of a sippy cup the other day. Of course I haven't been giving it to her regularly so I am sure we are going to have make sure we start again this weekend. Gracie also learned how to wave bye! We are still working on it and she only does it when she feels like it but it is adorable.
Here are a couple of pictures from this weekend and this week. We are heading to the pumpkin patch with Leda and Brian on Friday. You know I am going to take a ton of pictures so make sure you are looking for them on Saturday or Sunday. Matt has CQ on Sunday so it will be a Gracie and Mommy day...we really like those although we miss Daddy. Well, I am going to be paying for staying up this late tomorrow so I am going to go! Have a great week and weekend!
Cutest Triton fan EVER! Go UMSL!

Daisy and Gracie are 2 peas in a pod!
