about being a mother of a pre-toddler! Oh my goodness. We had a productive day. All the laundry is done in the house (that includes being folded and put away, I want a cookie :)) all the boxes and miscellaneous stuff was put away which means everything has a home, and every surface in the house is clean. Matt and I were busy needless to say. Gracie had a very fun day of playing all over the house. It sure didn't take her long to figure out how to get herself up from a sitting position into a standing position to start walking. She is just taking off. Each day she walks farther distances. Gracie is going to be running before I know it and before I am ready!
Matt and I had a plan and a goal on how we wanted today to go. Since we were on board with the plan, we just assumed that Gracie would be...boy was I wrong. Not only that but I learned a few things about being a mother of a pre-tod today. Now don't get me wrong, I have been learning new things everyday considering this is my first time around, but today I learned a few more things. So I thought I would share them with you along with the few other ones. So here is my list of 5 things I have learned being a parent of a pre-tod:
1. I have never gone through this much bleach...not even when she was a newborn.
2. There is nothing more fascinating then watching Grace do something silly and then watch her laugh at herself.
3. I have to fold the same load of laundry at least 2 times depending on how funny she thinks it is to unfold it.
4. No matter what, when you say no, Grace will through a fit like the end of the world is coming and she will never survive unless she has her way.
5. The things they get into, I mean, things you wouldn't imagine and maybe didn't even know you had will suddenly appear as if out of nowhere.
I really could go on and on, share stories, and keep on entertaining you on the things that Gracie pulled today. For example, I gave her a sippy cup of milk after her snack. She was getting fussy in her high chair so I let her take it with her where ever her little heart desired. I was not surprised to see that she was going to hang out in the kitchen with me. Gracie is actually doing very well transitioning to the sippy cup, we are pretty much down to only having the bottle at night and maybe one in the morning. Either way, apparently Gracie did not want a sippy cup because she kept throwing it on the floor. When I didn't listen to her "grunt" and throw she just kept on doing it. Well, after about 3 throws it suddenly got very quiet. I turned around to throw something in the trash and there Gracie was in her little onesie with milk all over the floor with her hands in it just swishing milk everywhere. I didn't know whether to be frustrated or laugh at her. She obviously thought it was funny. Daddy got her temporarily clean and she got a bath after dinner. I secretly think she purposefully did it so she could play in the bathtub!
Well, it is getting close to 10 so I need to go to bed. Have a good week everyone. I don't have any pictures to post, I cleaned all day, I didn't have time to take pictures! I will try to post some later on this week! Until next time...
