I forgot the video!!!

Ok, so sorry about the video...most of you know I am forgetful. It is a little dark because it was right before bedtime so we were in quiet mode. Although as you will see, Gracie doesn't get the quiet mode idea very well. She was being a bit squirrely and lost her balance...that girl I tell ya!

I also forgot to post a couple of pictures of her in her Easter dress! I realized this when I was checking up on my friend's blog today. Ironically enough, Liz and I picked out the same Easter dress for the girls...yeah we are states apart and have been playing phone tag for about 2 weeks. Just goes to show you that great minds think alike.

Today was a trying day for me. I hate Mondays. I hate going to bed on Sunday's because I totally obsess about the alarm not going off, not having all the things I need ready done, or anything else that is going to run me late on a Monday. Well, sleep won out last night and I didn't have ANYTHING ready this AM which just set me behind all day. So, after work I had to run a couple of errands so my friend Jaime tagged along. We both have a deep love/hate relationship with Target and shoes. So we started with Ross looking for some fabulous shoes (mainly for her, I did my damage this weekend) and then headed off to Target. I have been trying to find another pair of everyday shoes for Gracie so that when she goes to daycare not only does she have shoes that are functional for a toddler but are adorably cute. Well, I realized today that I apparently shop for shoes for Miss Gracie too much because she got a bit too excited when we walked down the little girl shoe aisle. Not to mention, when I did find a pair of shoes I loved and wanted to try on her, she stuck her foot out to be helpful and admired her shoes after they were on. You could almost see the immediate love for shoes in her blue little eyes. Jaime, the avid shoe lover, thought this was the sweetest thing every. I agree with her but a bit scared at the same time. Have I already dug myself a hole at the age of 16 months? Time will tell!

Well, it is time for me to hit the hay! Enjoy your Tuesday and the rest of the week!

Just too sweet!

She looks a bit bored in this picture...maybe she is being aloof...either way I think she knows she looks too cute!

Here is the link...it wouldn't upload right...crazy thing!

Daddy's New Toy and another word!

So after years of wanting and weeks of planning, Matt finally got his new Harley! He took the safety class this weekend and then goes to get his official license tomorrow. He also spent the weekend riding around the neighborhood. Below you will see a couple of pictures...he is so excited!

Gracie also said another word....other then mommy and daddy. She was looking at a picture of herself at 2 months and she said baby! It is so cute! I am going to try to add a video of it but we will see if it works. Lately we have been having an issue with the camera business! ha ha!

Other then that it was a good weekend. Saturday Gracie and I spent the day with Jaime running around El Paso and going to a Pampered Chef party. Today we have been just hanging around the house doing a bit more organizing and the mountain of laundry that seemed to pile up over the week. We are hoping to have a week that isn't as busy. Well, there isn't much to report so I will go for now...enjoy the pictures!

Daddy looking at his girl...she is such a Daddy's girl!

Gracie likes the shiny bike....she leaves her handprints all over it!

Playing at Gymboree this weekend! She loves going! After next week, she will be moving up to the next class. Her teacher says she is ready!!

Her bell...she shook that thing all over...I had a headache after we left ha ha!

Germany Memories

When Matt decided to join the Army I never imagined in a million years that we would have taken us to Germany. Germany was the best 3 years even despite the fact that Matt was gone for most of it! We made great friends, visited castles, seen so much history, and so much more. I was going through a lot of pictures over the weekend and thought I would share them with you. Now I realize most of you are not going to know what you are looking at but I still want to share. They are castles, scenic views, and most importantly friends we met during a our journey in Germany. Liz, Katie, and Mariah....I miss you guys more then you know!!! We made friends for a lifetime while Matt was stationed in Friedberg! They montage is about 7 minutes long....so enjoy!!!!

So here are the pictures....

Silly blog...not letting me post the pictures in the last blog.

So even with running a 101.3 fever she thought it would be fun to take ALL of her diapers out of her holder....oh wait there is one more...no worries she got that on too. Gracie's expression is so funny she is like "What....I was trying to find Elmo!"

So her newest silly game is to throw her bink in the air. She thinks it is SO funny. As soon as she throws it in the air she giggles and giggles. TOO CUTE!

So we like to recycle our water bottles, we go through enough of them, and Gracie likes to go to the bin and get the used ones out and play with them. Apparently this bottle made her mad...

So I think it is Roseola

So Gracie's fever is gone but now she has developed a rash. Apparently, according to the research I have done and the Tele-nurse service we have through the Army hospital, it is a mild viral infection that causes a rash after running a high fever for about 2 or 3 days....Gracie did. We have a referral for the outpatient clinic if she gets worse. Although I don't think she will. She is acting more and more like herself. She is just being silly and cute like always. However, if she still has the rash on Monday guess who gets to stay home again on Monday. Now don't get me wrong I am liking my mini-vacation but I want to take as many vacation days in May and this is eating them up. But it is ok because my girl needs me! :)

Today was really a relaxing day. I spent most of the morning in bed with Gracie..she was still pretty fussy and tired. Then we all woke up and ran some errands. Gracie passed out again in the car so Matt and I took a drive around our area so she could get a good nap. After we got back home we tackled our garage. My oh my did it need some attention. Matt is getting a motorcycle in a couple of weeks and we needed somewhere to put it so we had to clean it out. I am so glad that it is done. What a relief!

Tomorrow is going to be another chill day. Jaime and Wes are coming over for dinner and some good ol' Wii time. It will be the first time I get to entertain on my new table and I am EXCITED! Matt doesn't' know it yet but we are going to use the leaf just because we can. :) The thing he doesn't know is he has to help me figure it out...he he...I know he is going to love that. He is such a good hubby!

Well, here are a few pictures from the last couple of days. Even though she has been battling a fever, she still has her silly and funny moments. Enjoy!

Getting better...I think

So Gracie is doing better....well I think she is getting better. She only had to have 3 doses of Motrin today which is good because we have been alternating Tylenol and Motrin...so that means no Motrin today. I want to take her to Gymboree tomorrow because we both need to get out of the house and do something other then run errands, but on the other hand another day at home may not be a bad idea. I can make it up with her this week when she is feeling better.

Today we really just hung around the house and then took dinner to Daddy. Matt has CQ tonight so he gets to play Army for a full 24 hours until he gets to come home. So we got to spend a few minutes with him and got out of the house...a double bonus if you want my opinion! Now we are just home in bed watching TV.

Well, I should go...I know I promised pictures but they are still on my camera. I will load them tomorrow. Have a good weekend all!

Battling a Fever!

Ok, so we have spent the last 2 days battling a fever. It has spiked at 102.3 and has held steady between 100.5 and 101.5. I took her to the doctor yesterday but I think it might have been a bit premature. I have been alternating Tylenol and Motrin which helps for about an hour and half after each dose but it always spikes right back up. So I am going to see how she does for the rest of the day and night and I might take her back to the doctor tomorrow. I decided to take off the rest of the week so that way I can get our girl feeling better. Daddy is on his way home now and we are going to have a pizza and TV night in bed. We usually do that once a week so that way we can spend more time during the week as family. I love it honestly...it is among my favorite things to do. Gracie usually falls asleep for about an hour at a time anyway. Well, I just wanted to give an update...I will have some pictures to post sometime tomorrow. She is still happy when she is feeling pretty good but that usually gives way to the fever which equals fussiness. Have a good Friday!!

My Lucky Charm

Happy St. Patty's Day for another minute! Gracie has a fever and is very restless so I am up because I can't go to sleep. So I am typing this at 11:59 PM...wait make that 12:00 AM! Either way I haven't had the chance to wish everyone a Happy St. Pat's Day. We have a long line of Irish in our family. Both of our families are at least 1/2 Irish so I love St. Pat's Day. Gracie was dressed in her too cute for words Lucky Charm shirt. She is my lucky charm. It is a blessing to wake up everyday to her smiling face. She always has a smile for her daddy and me as soon as the milk is finished (we have to realistic here...food first then happy baby! She is not a morning person...wonder who she gets that from?) Anyway, Matt and I are so lucky to have her. Here at the Cunningham Household we hope you had a very good St. Pat's Day! Here is a picture of our girl this morning!

another week!

Ok, so I have a legitimate reason as to why it took me a week to write again. For those of you that didn't know, I sliced off the tip of my thumb. You can cringe...I did. Matt took me to the ER because it was bad enough to go...so after 10 hours in the ER we finally came home and all of us crashed for the day. The thumb is doing better...not healed yet but the doc said that it is probably going to take 30 days.

Gracie is growing by leaps in bounds. She discovers new things everyday. The toddler stage is so much fun. I do miss her being an infant, but she is so much fun! Over the last week I found out that she knows where her nose is and her belly button. She also has learned how to lay on the floor and be silly on top of throwing fits on the floor. But the fits are not bad....yet!

We had a very busy weekend. We made our weekly Gymboree date, 2 birthday parties, and trying to fit in all the house work. I feel like the weekend just passed by with little or no rest. This weekend though is going to be a bit more laid back.

Well, it is 10:30, I need to get some sleep and my thumb is hurting so I should give it a break. Enjoy the few pictures we have. Have a gimpy thumb definitely hindered the picture taking! Have a good rest of the weekend!

Such a big girl. She practically runs all over the place while at Gymboree!

Playing on the slide at Ethan and Aidan's B-day Party.

Blowing with Daddy at Kamryn's B-day Party.

2 Cute for Words!

She just couldn't keep still! LOL!

It has been a week!

So I can't believe it has been a week since I posted. I am so sorry but is has been one busy week. We officially started a "Biggest Loser" competition at work so I took the challenge to be the Biggest Loser. The pot is around $350 for the winner. Although don't get me wrong, I want to win, but I am in it just to get healthy. I want to make sure I am doing all that I can to be a great mommy to Gracie and that includes being as healthy as possible. So we have challenges and workouts on Tuesday and Thursday....so yeah I was beat this week. I try to make it to the gym when I can but it had been awhile since I made it...I was so done in. I couldn't move on Tuesday and by Friday I didn't think my legs where going to move! :)

Gracie is doing well. She is cutting two of her back teeth so she is kind of fussy. These teeth are taking their time coming in so the pain I am sure is worse then it was with her front ones. She had her first Gymboree class this weekend. She had such a good time. We have been trying to find something to enhance her playtime outside of the house and daycare. Well, there are not a lot of programs out there for kids her age. I don't have any friends in close proximity that have kids her age so it's not like we can even go to people's house for play dates! Almost all of my friends that do have kids Gracie's age are far away, the closest ones are in IL with most of them being on the East coast. There are some pictures down below of her first day.

Other then that it was a normal week here. We were dog-sitting for Matt's boss due to a family emergency. Daisy and Harley had so much fun having another friend to play with. Let me tell you that having 3 dogs and a toddler is not something I am willing to do on a regular basis. Buddy is a very sweet, quiet dog which was a nice break from my hyper poodles...but it was another living being in this house!

This next week should be a bit more organized. We don't have as much going on after work other then workouts so we should be home more. I hope all of you had a good weekend. It was a relaxing one for us which was a nice change of pace after the busy week we had. So happy week to you and I will try to keep you all updated better this week! Toodles!

Gracie is getting so big. This picture shows how tall she is!

She totally went down head first...I snapped a picture but I was scared out of my wits. You can tell how much fun she is having though!

Climbing up for another go around!

Climbing through a tunnel...way too much fun!

This was the "after" of the mac & cheese...she even had it in her eyelashes!

Apparently she was too impatient to eat with her fingers...she choose to lick the platter clean! :)

Proudly showing daddy her mess! Love this picture of them!

So serious....and still has a messy face!

Climbing up the stairs. I can finally get her hair in a ponytail...she looks like Peebles which is too cute!

She has such a personality...she is a love bug!

Girl Day

So, today was a good day. Matt didn't go to Spain due to a death in the family of his boss so that means he gets to be the boss until she gets back. Since he didn't go to Spain, he had to pull 24 hour duty today so Gracie and I had a good day together. We met up with a girl that I went to water aerobics with while I was pregnant. She has two little girls with the oldest being just a month younger then Gracie. We had lunch and did a little spring/summer shopping for the girls. Gracie does not need any new clothes but it was still fun looking around. After we got done doing a girl thing we just came home and spent the evening playing and cuddling. Gracie comes up with something new pretty much every day. Today's "new thing" is just too cute. Gracie was starting to wind down for the evening, so I thought I would dim the lights and turn on an episode of Friends. Well, this is something we watch frequently so she recognizes the theme music. So when it came on, she kept one foot in the same spot and used the other foot to turn around in circles. It was too cute!! I want to catch it on camera but I have no clue where my camera is....I am bound and determined to find it. I just wanted to share that funny story. Tomorrow we are going to be out and about, I will try to find the camera so you can see some pictures. Well, have a good night and I will post again later! Good night!!!!
