Day with Mommy

Hello all...here is the video I said I was going to post. It is another one of Gracie being funny and watching Grey's with us! It just cracks me up how much she likes the theme music. Today was a good day. Gracie and I stayed at home b/c she has a bit of a bug and can't go back to the daycare until Monday. She is feeling better but isn't quite there. I am sure most of it has to do with teething but just in case we had a good day at home. Daisy got groomed and looks marvelous....as she already thinks she does. Nothing else really new. I have to work tomorrow so it will be Daddy's turn with Gracie until the afternoon. After I get home we are going to go to the MotorX Games here in El Paso. A friend of ours has a son that competes...so we are going to go and watch. You know I will take some pictures and I promise to post them on Sunday. Hope you all have a good weekend!

Again....another busy week!

What a busy week...and it is only Tuesday! I am so sorry I am days late putting up a blog. Every time I sat down to do it something else came up or Gracie decided she needed to help type, which does not help even though she thinks so. Speaking of which, she is doing great. She is just talking up a storm and laughing all the time. Very rarely do we get a true gut laugh but she does this cute smile "ahh" thing she has done from the time she was a newborn. Most of the time it is a very excited ahhh...but it cracks us up anyway. She likes to talk and talk and talk and talk. I don’t know where she gets that from…would you by chance know?

We had a very good and busy weekend. Friday we stayed home since we had a very busy Saturday planned. Matt needed the oil in his truck changed so we all got up, dropped his truck off, and headed out to eat breakfast at IHOP. After that, Gracie and I headed to our friend Bethany’s house for a Pampered Chef party. There is nothing better then talking with a bunch of girls and playing with kitchen gadgets. Then we met Matt and headed to the big game of the weekend here in El Paso . University of Texas El Paso and New Mexico State University were battling out for bragging rights. NMSU won the bragging rights but we didn’t mind. We just had a great time at the game. Gracie usually only lasts until about half time and falls asleep but it was too loud so we ended up leaving. She had a great time watching everyone banging the thunder sticks together. She also hammed it up for anyone that would look at her and smile. She definitely wins over the crowd where ever she goes. Sunday we stayed home recovering from Saturday…which reminds me, Gracie cut another tooth on Saturday. This makes 4 that are either already came through or are on there way. I will have to post another picture of her grin with her one almost two teeth…its cute!

So that is all that is new on our end. We have another busy weekend coming up. I have to work on Saturday then we have a motor cross thing to go to on Saturday night. It is should be a lot of fun. Sunday I am going to do nothing other then watch TV and spend time with Matt and Gracie. I am going to put a few pictures from this weekend…I might add another video later too if the computer decides to let me! Have a great week and look for another update later on! Until next time…

Mommy does make me smile....

3 in one day!

Alright, I get major kudos for doing 3 blogs in one day! Anyway, I just wanted to report that Gracie is doing another new thing. She can walk herself around the couch!! I was sitting on one end of the couch and she pulled herself up and she just walked herself (while leaning on the couch of course) right over to me! She is such a big girl. Before I know it she is going to walking all around the house and we still haven't even gotten the house completely baby proof! I know I know it's nuts! Anyway, I am off to bed...4:30 am comes way too early. Happy Thursday!

Just to see...

How big she has gotten!

Just 2 weeks old!

So Precious!

Getting bigger at 3 months.

Sitting up at her 6 month pictures!

Too cute for words at 9 months!

Looking at these pictures it reminds me of how fast they grow. She is such a miracle and makes our family more complete. She is my pride and joy even if she looks like her daddy! ha ha!

9 Month Pictures

Happy Wednesday! Before I post some pictures, I want it noted that I am doing a post in the middle of the week! Kudos to me! Anyway, I was finally able to download some of Gracie's pictures so I thought you would like a preview. I hope you enjoy them. So far it has been a decent week, nothing exciting happening. We are looking forward to the weekend. I am going to a Pampered Chef party at my friend Bethany's house which should be fun. It has been awhile since I have been around a room full of girls. Other then that nothing to report. Well, I would go on and on but Gracie is at this moment heading towards Daisy's kennel to have some afternoon snacks of dog food....YUCK! So I better go get her before she gets there! Have a good day!!!
Such a little model!
She loves the camera!
How cute is this!
Not our best family pictures! I really don't like them at all but I know you all know we were going to take some so I included them too. Not to mention the only good one and all you can see is my white shirt.

Productive Weekend

Hello all! Things were busy around our house this weekend. On Friday we went out to support the local high school football game. We really enjoy going to see them play. Gracie really enjoys the bands and the cheerleaders. She will jump and dance right along with them. It is fun to watch. On Saturday we spent the day out and about because it was gorgeous! We started off by going out for breakfast over on the west side and then went to the outlet mall. I have been slowly going through Gracie's clothes and realizing that she has hardly no clothes for 9-12 months. The girl has had a wardrobe that would make a celebrity jealous up until now! She hasn't grown out of all of her 6-9 clothes, but we have started to, so we need to be prepared. Then we went to a movie which Gracie enjoyed with her eyes closed! :)

Today we went and got her 9 month pictures done! They turned out so cute! As soon as I am able to download them on the computer I will add some on here. We also took some in our Bears jersey's that turn out good too. But there weren't as cute as the ones of just Gracie! After we got pictures done we came home to watch football and Grey's Anatomy. It was very relaxing.

As for the biggest news....GRACIE HAS CUT HER 1ST TOOTH! After weeks and weeks of thinking she was teething, she finally cut one. The funny thing was that the tooth that came in 1st wasn't even the one I thought was going to come through. Matt had Friday off of work after pulling 24 hour duty (again) and decided to get Gracie from school. Well, Daddy got to discover that her tooth on the top was coming through! We didn't even know that it was a bump! We have been waiting for the bottom one to come in which is but not as fast as the top one! I got a picture of the tooth so make sure you check that out!

Well, it is 9:30 and I need to get some sleep! Have a great week and I will attempt to post again in the middle of the week...no promises! Until next time...

Gracie is 9 months old!!!!

Believe it or not another month has passed and our baby girl is 9 months old! She is getting to big for her little britches she wears. Gracie is pulling up, standing on her own..only a few seconds, but she does it...and she is still crawling all over the place. She is trying to crab crawl where she is walking with her feet and her hands on the floor. It is cute. She is also way to smart for her own good. She gets that from her mommy! :)

We had a really bittersweet weekend. We started it off by going to a high school football game on Friday. Our neighbor is a senior so we thought we would go out and support the team. We had a really good time and Gracie had a great time watching the dancers and band! She was all smiles. Then on Saturday we unfortunately dropped the kitties off so that they can find them a better home. It was hard, very hard, but we made the right decision for us and for them. They weren't happy at all and they deserve to treated as the princesses they are. We are going to miss them a lot but we did what we had to do. Today we spent the day as a family. There is nothing more comforting when you are hurting then to spend the day with those that you love.

Well, it is the start of another week and I only have a few more hours of my Sunday to spend with my favorite people. I just looked up to see Matt and Gracie watching Grey's Anatomy. Gracie is sucking on her toes...she loves those things! She is just too cute when the theme song comes on for Grey's, she dances and just goes to town. As a matter of fact there is a video at the bottom of the pictures so that you can see how much she just loves the song! Have a great week and I will post again in a few days! Here are some pictures to show off how big Gracie has gotten over the last 9 months!

A Few Pictures....

I just couldn't get her to hold still!

Productiveness, Spiders, Fire....and all in one day!

What a day! We got a lot done today around the house. After spending about an hour running around looking for a place to rent a steam cleaner we finally just decided to buy one. So Matt spent most of the day cleaning the carpets and he did such a GREAT job! Gracie and I worked on her room this afternoon. Like I mentioned she is growing out of her clothes so I had piles of clothes that needed to be put away so we worked on that and I really mean we. She thought that she needed to pull out everything I put in the box. She is pulling up on everything so when she finally gets up, she needs to discover what she can while she is up! It is so cute. We put her in the pack and play for a bit today we no sooner turned our head and the little stinker had pulled herself up on the side of the pack and play. She is just doing new things every day.

So I am sure your minds are inquiring about the spiders and fire....and yes they go together. In the El Paso area we have Black Widow spiders and Brown Recluse spiders like you wouldn't believe. We didn't have too much of a problem last year but for some reason we have found 4 or 5 so far this summer. Well, the people that rented the house before we did left a bunch of stuff behind including a crappy dog shed. Well, Matt had used some other stuff to cover a hole so Daisy wouldn't go exploring. About a couple of weeks ago we had seen a couple of Black Widows around the area so Matt thought he would rearrange the stuff to see what he could find. Well, he hit the jackpot. He found 2 Black Widows, one of them laying eggs, and about 4 other spiders. He came into the bedroom where Gracie and I were hanging out and asked if I had any aerosol hairspray. I of course had to ask what he needed it for to which he replied a couple of spiders are going to meet there death today. So he took the aim-a-flame and hairspray outside and torched all of them. I think he had way too much fun. Who would have thought I have a pryo-maniac for a husband! ha ha!

Well, I am going to head to bed. I promise to add pictures tomorrow. We finished what we could of Gracie's bathroom so I will post a couple of work-in-progress photos. Enjoy your Labor Day weekend! Until tomorrow!
