Productiveness, Spiders, Fire....and all in one day!

What a day! We got a lot done today around the house. After spending about an hour running around looking for a place to rent a steam cleaner we finally just decided to buy one. So Matt spent most of the day cleaning the carpets and he did such a GREAT job! Gracie and I worked on her room this afternoon. Like I mentioned she is growing out of her clothes so I had piles of clothes that needed to be put away so we worked on that and I really mean we. She thought that she needed to pull out everything I put in the box. She is pulling up on everything so when she finally gets up, she needs to discover what she can while she is up! It is so cute. We put her in the pack and play for a bit today we no sooner turned our head and the little stinker had pulled herself up on the side of the pack and play. She is just doing new things every day.

So I am sure your minds are inquiring about the spiders and fire....and yes they go together. In the El Paso area we have Black Widow spiders and Brown Recluse spiders like you wouldn't believe. We didn't have too much of a problem last year but for some reason we have found 4 or 5 so far this summer. Well, the people that rented the house before we did left a bunch of stuff behind including a crappy dog shed. Well, Matt had used some other stuff to cover a hole so Daisy wouldn't go exploring. About a couple of weeks ago we had seen a couple of Black Widows around the area so Matt thought he would rearrange the stuff to see what he could find. Well, he hit the jackpot. He found 2 Black Widows, one of them laying eggs, and about 4 other spiders. He came into the bedroom where Gracie and I were hanging out and asked if I had any aerosol hairspray. I of course had to ask what he needed it for to which he replied a couple of spiders are going to meet there death today. So he took the aim-a-flame and hairspray outside and torched all of them. I think he had way too much fun. Who would have thought I have a pryo-maniac for a husband! ha ha!

Well, I am going to head to bed. I promise to add pictures tomorrow. We finished what we could of Gracie's bathroom so I will post a couple of work-in-progress photos. Enjoy your Labor Day weekend! Until tomorrow!
