Hello...

So, I realize I have been lacking on typing blogs lately but you know it has been crazy this last week. Actually, I take that back, I have been so tired that all I do is come home, have a moment of peace and quiet because Gracie is usually sleeping, then I cook dinner, and then I go to bed. It was an exhausting week and I don't know why...oh wait, could it be that I was supposed to be on vacation and my body knew it even though the mind tried to block it out? That is probably it. We were supposed to be enjoying the beach life with our friends Mike, Liz, and Sophia but if you recall the Army (as usual) put a huge damper on that one. Alright, I am off my soap box. Although Mike and Liz still went and had a great time which is awesome!

We are doing good on our end. Well, unless you count allergies and we are all suffering. I finally gave in on Friday and called the doctor to see if it would even be worth bringing Gracie in and he said no. Although he did ask if we had animals, which we do, and he confirmed my suspicions of the pet dander making the allergies worse. He of course wouldn't say that Gracie is actually allergic but he did say that it could be making the stuffiness worse because of all the extra dander. So unfortunately we are going to be giving Whiskers and Sassy a new home. I am so sad that we have to get rid of them, but it is the best for the family. Also, they are getting older and each move we do is harder on them...not to mention they are definitely not happy that Gracie is mobile now and crawling all over the place. So I think it is best for all of us, two and four legged creatures, if we find a happier home for them. I am going to miss them so very much but we have also had a great time with them. I couldn't have gotten through the deployment without them. On the bright side, Daisy will be able to stick around because she doesn't shed so she isn't a problem.

Speaking of Gracie, she is getting bigger by the minute. She has gone through a growth spurt and is quickly outgrowing her 6-9 month clothes. Just last night Matt was getting her ready for bed and since it has been colder here the last couple of nights we actually have been putting her into sleepers and he came out of the bedroom to ask if we had any sleepers that fit her...he couldn't find one long enough. Right now she is in her jumper with her feet out of the footies part of the sleeper just so she can jump because she has gotten so long. She is talking a lot more too. I swear she is going to be like me...Matt is never going to be able to get a word in once she actually starts talking. She still doesn't say da da but she will get there I am sure.

So far our weekend has been nice and relaxing. I took part of Friday off which was a good move. Remember, I was supposed to be on vacation so I think I just needed a break. I of course don't have to work on Monday and Matt had a 4 day weekend so we have been just hanging out as a family. We are going to be redecorating the spare bathroom and turning it into Gracie's bathroom. Between my stuff, Matt's stuff, and Gracie's stuff, we were seriously running out of room. So that is getting an overhaul. Her bedroom is also getting an overhaul. I am going through all of her clothes and putting them away and I am even thinking about moving some things around in her room too...but we will see...I can only handle one project at a time.

Alright, I am done...for now. I don't have any new pictures on the computer to post but I will get some loaded up tomorrow and post some. I will also post some after I get the bathroom done. I hope you have a great weekend! Until next time....
