With all that was going on last week, I totally forgot to post a blog about Gracie turning 20 months! Thanks to Nicki, I remembered that I didn’t do this so I am…a week late! ha ha!
Gracie is getting so big and way too fast. Matt is going to come home to a full blown toddler instead of an almost full blown toddler. Here is what she is up too lately…
- Walking is only an option…running is her preferred mode of transportation.
- Her vocabulary has exploded. My new favorite is “Ah Ga” for all gone. She holds up her hands like oh well..it’s cute.
- She is way into animals. She points out any animal she sees, tries to say the name of the animal, and searches for all books or toys that have to with animals. I have a feeling Matt and I are going to be spending a lot more time at the zoo in the near future.
- Speaking of animals, she says duck (du), cow (cooouuuuwww), giraffe (raf), frog (fra), and puppy. When she says puppy now it is really long and high pitched.
- She is doing well at school, she rarely cries when I drop her off and pick her up. She has quickly become the favorite….again.
- She still puts dolls to “nighty night” but this has expanded to all animals. So if you come to my house and see a bunch of toys face down, that’s why…they’re all over.
- She is still quite the eater. She knows when the doorbell rings it’s the pizza guy. I swear we don’t order out that much, it is just that no one comes to visit! :)
- Her favorite food is still applesauce but is also quite fond of ravioli.
- She has started getting attached to a blanket which is fun since we have been kind of (I really mean kind of) been breaking the no sleeping in Mommy and Daddy’s bed. She is having a hard time with Matt being gone so I keep her in there until I just can’t take the fussiness. It has gotten better but I can’t wait until Matt gets home.
- On the same note, she has started to fall asleep on her own and almost prefers it….sometimes. ha!
- She has got to weigh at least 25 pounds and has grown a couple of inches too. I am going to measure her tomorrow on her measuring board in her room. I will take a picture!
- She is still the sweet baby girl and really isn’t that bad of a toddler. The only thing is she doesn’t like it when she doesn’t get her way. I wonder who she gets that from.
- Gracie is the love of our lives and we are thankful to God each day that we were blessed with her. She makes our lives happier and more meaningful. We just simply love our girl!
Well, I am off to bed. I have given the camera a couple day break considering it got quite the workout last week. I will take some pictures to post tomorrow…maybe if the camera decides to forgive me! lol! Happy Wednesday!
