Ahhhhh……Vacation

Serene.  Beautiful.  GREEN!  That is where I am at.  I am so completely relaxed, more relaxed then I have been in months!  It has been great to spend some time with family in such a beautiful place.  We are in Granby, CO where my Aunt Jan & Uncle Bob live.  It is gorgeous up here…cool temperatures, rain, and did I mention it is green?  (Can you tell I am excited about being in a place where there is so much green?) 

Our trip up here was great.  I have been blessed with a great little traveler.  She just sits back and relaxes watching everything go by.  This time around we did borrow a DVD player from Wes & Jamie which was nice for us.  Gracie didn’t really watch it until we reached Colorado since she slept through New Mexico.  We stopped in Colorado Springs for gas and dinner.  I was SO excited to eat at one of my favorite restaurants which we don’t have in El Paso:

One of our favorite things to do while we are traveling is stopping at rest stops.  I know it sounds silly, but some of them really have a lot of character.  This particular one in New Mexico had grass.  Now Gracie has never really gotten to play in a lot of grass.  Let’s face it, El Paso doesn’t have a whole lot of it!  She was so excited to take off her flip flops and run barefoot in the grass. 

We arrived safe and sound in Granby about 9:30.  We went straight to bed since it had been a long day driving.  Our first full day in Colorado was a blast too!  We headed over to Grand Lake for ice cream and playing at the beach.  I will tell you all about it in my next post!
